Arndt Köbelin is an experienced winemaker and cellar master who has worked for renowned wineries around the world since the age of 16, including in New Zealand and Burgundy. Today, he and his wife Monika run the family winery at the Kaiserstuhl in Eichstetten, where they settled in 2005. The 22-hectare estate attaches the greatest importance to reflecting the terroir and the characteristics of each vintage in their purest form.
The winery's main grape varieties are Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Arndt Köbelin cultivates his vineyards organically, relying on green manure, homemade compost, and biological pest control methods. The grapes are harvested and processed gently, with long lees contact and natural fermentation using vineyard yeasts to intensify the aromas.
Köbelin's wines are characterized by clear varietal typicity and a juicy smoothness that delights connoisseurs. Particularly noteworthy are the precise estate wines and the balanced liter wines, which offer a broad spectrum of aromas and incomparable clarity – ideal drops for lovers of authentic wine culture.
