Champagne with fine aromas of green apple and pear, accompanied by sweet shortcrust pastry and farmhouse bread crust, as well as citrus zest; very creamy and tightly woven. On the palate, the Brut Reserve is enormously balanced, with magnificent equilibrium, voluminous and mouth-filling with considerable pressure in the middle. This creamy body is carried by a juicy, chalky-mineral streak of acidity. Very delicate and harmonious in its densely woven fruit, but also distinctly lively and vital on the palate.

Champagne Pol Roger - Laurent d’Harcourt
Pol Roger is among the most sought-after champagne brands in the world. The prestigious family-owned company is dedicated exclusively to the production of Pol Roger champagne and, as a member of the Primum Familiae Vini (PFV), is ranked among the best family-owned wineries globally due to its high standards. For five generations, the family has remained true to its values and its unmistakable style. Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger, the champagne house is now led by Laurent d’Harcourt in Epernay. With 90 hectares of its own vineyards, Pol Roger covers 55 percent of its requirements itself. D’Harcourt’s goal is to maintain limited production and to create one of the best champagnes in the world using long-standing expertise and vineyards in premium locations. He is supported in this by cellar master Damien Cembres, who gives the champagne a "British touch," as the French journalist Jean-Paul Kauffmann put it. The purity, nobility, finesse, and elegance of Champagne Pol Roger represent the spirit of the family and the joie de vivre of champagne lovers. This champagne was Winston Churchill’s favorite and is even appreciated by the Royal Family, as it was served at the royal wedding in 2011. However, Pol Roger is distinguished not only by its "very British" character but also by sustainable production under the strict supervision of Evelyne de Bally, who is responsible for viticulture in the fifth generation. The must rests in the deepest and coolest cellars in Epernay at 9.5°C, compared to the usual 12°C, and ferments slowly to develop a particularly fine perlage. The champagne ages for a long time – the Brut Réserve for four years and the Champagne Winston Churchill for as long as 11 years. Even today, the riddling is still done by hand. In addition to traditional vinification, the modern-equipped winery features state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks for non-vintage champagnes. Only first-press cuvées are used for fermentation, and all base wines mature for three to six months before they are used for the second fermentation. Pol Roger's champagne varieties are unique. Their finesse, complexity, and fine perlage are the result of a demanding philosophy and consistent implementation. In this way, Pol Roger offers the right champagne for everyone and every occasion: from non-vintage champagnes (Brut, Extra-Brut, Demi-Sec) and vintage champagnes (Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Rosé) to the exceptional Champagne Winston Churchill.
