The history of the estate
Mas des Flauzières is a farm that belonged to the Château of Entrechaux in the Middle Ages. This old building is located at the foot of the Giant of Provence, Mont Ventoux, near Vaison-la-Romaine. It has been owned by the Benoît family since the beginning of the 20th century (1919).
The history of the estate
The son, Jérôme Benoît, decided after his studies in agronomy and oenology in 2002 to build a winery to market his wines. The estate spans several villages, from Mont Ventoux to the protected area of the Dentelles de Montmirail.
This rare advantage of finding several appellations on one estate allows for the production of fruity, easy-drinking Ventoux wines, but also powerful, structured Grand Crus from the world-famous Gigondas.
Aylés is more than just a winery and an estate: it is a well-defined territory where nature and wine have coexisted harmoniously for centuries.
It is an impressive landscape of contrasts that includes the Huerva River, which cuts through spectacular gullies and gorges before the immutable presence of Monte San Pablo begins. This landscape is blessed with clay, silt, and limestone soils, deep caves, and underground rivers, to which the vineyards add a true symphony of life and color. -

The Benoît family has been winemaking in Entrechaux since 1919 and offers a dozen cuvées from the Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret, Côtes du Rhône Villages Vaison-la-Romaine, and Ventoux appellations.
The vineyard is located on the slopes of the Ouvèze valley near Gigondas, Carpentras, and Avignon on sandy and pebbly soils. It lies at the foot of the Giant of Provence: Mont Ventoux.
