Franconia. Multilayered. Geo + Tasting
This wine tasting combines geography and wine sensory analysis. It is a journey through the geological history of Franconia, where we will get to know the three defining soil formations of the region: shell limestone, Keuper, and colored sandstone.
Starting with the formation of these landscapes, we will create the foundation for a sensory journey of discovery. How does the soil influence a wine's character? What differences can be tasted when the same grape variety grows on different geological formations?
Using Silvaner and other Franconian grape varieties, we will experience the astonishing diversity that emerges from the interplay of soil, climate, and the winemaker's craft. Surprises are explicitly encouraged.
