Aging: 12 months in barriques: American oak barrels
The 19 Crimes Red Blend is a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz. After classic skin fermentation, the wine matured for about a year in American oak barriques. The wine shows a beautiful nose with aromas of cassis, cherries, blackberries, vanilla, cocoa, licorice, pepper, cloves, rosemary, hawthorn, and violets. On the palate, it is meaty, juicy, and very velvety, with sweet tannins, dense, finely spiced fruit, lots of charm, very drinkable, and long-lasting.
